Last year we moved our business from Jo'burg to KZN. We went to La Lucia Ridge Neotel to get a new phone number. For several weeks we were without a landline whilst Neotel tried to establish why they were unable to get the new 031 number to work. It turned out that they were unable do this with the existing Neotel device because the old 011 number was ported from Telkom. They then gave us a newer model, which sorted the problem out. They told us that there would be no charge for the new device (we handed in the old device, which was in perfect working order), but that we would see a charge on the next invoice which would be credited automatically later, thus negating the charge. We were debited, but never credited. After several calls and emails to Neotel, we still have not been credited with the amount. Their customer service centre informed us via email that we must provide written proof from La Lucia! I phoned La Lucia, and after half an hour of providing information and waiting around, was told that they were unable to help and that the matter would be escalated to the customer service division. No doubt this division will pass the buck back to La Lucia.
