I complained on this site about Afrihost lack of consideration for alternative payment methods with only debit orders accepted. One can pay by credit card on the clent zone but only after disconnection. Thats really clever.. disconnect and then ask customers to pay by credit card on the client zone haha. (REALLY STUPID)
This is the email (below) I received in response to my complaint: Astounded that they actually escalate reconnection fees:

Thank you for your email

Please accept my apologies for the late reply.

The only payment option offered by Afrihost are
monthly debit order and credit card where we
automatically charge your account.

The only time you can make a payment in your
ClientZone is if there is an amount owing and you
will not be able to pay before that.

If you wish to pay via credit card you can then change
your payment option to it and we will then debit
the amount on a monthly basis.

The debit order cannot be removed from your account and if
your debit orders keep bouncing your reconnection fees
will end up costing more and can go up to R400.00.
