I contacted Afrihost on hosting my e-commerce domain on the 12th of August 2013 as I was unhappy with the technical support I received with my current hosting company and needed to move my domain as a matter of urgency due to bandwidth limitations. After confirming with Afrihost technical department in writing that Afrihost will be able to assist with all my requirements all that was left to do was to process the order for the transfer to start. After processing the order on the 12th of August Afrihost informed that they only accept payment via Credit Card or Debit Order with no EFT option. As a computer reseller hosting many domains for customers Debit Order banking fees can get expensive and we prefer to manage our payments as a company to a supplier. Needless to say since we were going to give Afrihost an opportunity to display their hosting and service ability with one of our domain we proceeded with allowing one debit order. Afrihost came back to confirm that the debit order would have been deducted on the 12th at midnight. Today is the 13th and no deduction and no service. Just been on the phone to them and been placed on hold for 30 minutes, I have just put down the phone.
