Number porting not done

1) I phone MTN direct to sign up a new contract R529/month with Samsung Galaxy note II
advised to phone MTN Direct when I receive the sim card and phone as to NOT ACTIVATE the sim as our
Autopage number has to be ported to MTN.
2) MTN delivers the phone on 6 March 2013, I sign the contracts.
3) 6 March, I phone MTN Direct to start the number porting, giving the number of the sim card below the
barcode. MTN advises me the number porting will be done within 2 - 24 hours.
4) 7 March, today. The Number porting department is unaware of the number to be ported...
After 5 calls speaking to various departments and agent with excuses from documentation that is wrong to
the last agent telling me I must drive to the Service centre to cancel the contract, sign another, replace the
phone due to MTN (NOT ME) force activating the new sim card.

MTN. This is not my mistake. Come and collect the phone BEFORE THE WEEKEND and let me sign
whatever I should, and port my number from Autopage Vodacom!
