Lack of initiative - LAZIEST staff encountered

I went in store to get my phone (samsung s4) to get repaired and ask about the process etc. I was then told by the staff members in particular a guy of the name Makobe (Should the name be wrong I can get you the precise name cos I want this matter dealt with accordingly and want the guy to know what a bad rep he is for your brand) that they wouldn't be able to assist me because I didn't have proof of purchase - although they do have a copy in store he wouldn't be able to assist since he wasn't the consultant that helped when I purchased the phone, Id have to wait for the guy who assisted me to get back from sick leave whenever that is (i went in in weds so now i must wait for the guy to get back on the estimated monday?) He even continued to say he could take initiative but I must wait for him to return??? I asked him so what if he dies? and his response "well in this case he is not dead and you must wait"!

Meaning the 14-28 days it would take to fix my phone has now been extended due to LAZY STAFF. Is this the norm? Must one wait for consultants to return from their holidays or whatever situations in order to get assistance cos thats the idea I was given at your eastgate
