False advertisng

Upon entering the vodacom shop on last friday I asked one of their consultants to hand me a catalogue which would have all their deals available for the month I then left with the book and returned after making up my mind Only to be told that my selection was out of stock futher more the consultant kept say its VODACOM not me... his product knowledge was minimal and absolutely unprofessional... I took up the contract 3 hours later to find out the free gift that came with the deal I chose was also now out of stock out of frustration I reluctantly took just the phone and when enquired what my current package contained in terms of data minutes and so forth he said "nothing" I took it as it was a gift for my mum on that day... so my issue is that a deal was being advertised where stock was not available and no fine print stating " subject to availability of stock" does regular stock checks not happen??? In essence I got NOT what I wanted and poor service and highly disgusted by the whole experience.
