False Advertising

False Advertising. We went to MTN in Canal Walk to upgrade a cell phone contract. We wanted the package which comes with the 32" Samsung TV. MTN stated that the TV is a 'free gift' and they do not keep stock at any of the branches. This is against the consumer act, a company is not allowed to advertise a product which they do not have in stock. MTN stated that the 'free gift' get's handles by an external company and they haven't had stock for a very long time, they were unable to check if the supplier had stock because it was a holiday (woman's day). We left and then went to the Century City branch the following Monday. Same story but, at least, they could check to see if the supplier had stock. No, no stock. The sales person said that they haven't had stock for over a month. How can you advertise something if you know that you do not have stock? MTN does not answer their phones either so clients are forced to drive in. It is a waste of fuel and money. The sales person said she would get back to us to let us know when we can expect them to have stock. She never got back to us. This is extremely unacceptable.
