I had a contract with Cell C but on a family members name. So i migrated it to my name in December. It was working perfectly as a pre paid account for about a week. No wait, precisely a week. I have topped up my number and bought a lot a data.

So Monday 6 Jan, at 9 am (before that it was working), it just stopped working. I had no signal but everything else was there. So I thought perhaps the tower was down. At 10 PM i switched my sim to another phone. It clearly said: "No sim inserted, continue anyway."Switching it back to my original phone it said exactly the same. And my original phone had service with the vodacom simcard - so it could only be the sim being faulty. So i phoned Cell C today. I was transferred to three people and finally, after 30 min, after thousands of questions and being put on hold he tells me: "Oh, yes, no, its definitely the sim card that is broken.". Yes, thank you kind sir for telling me exactly what I've been telling you for the last 30 min of my life wasting away at your service.

Simswap was the answer i received 30 min later. Something I was trying to prevent in phoning them. Thanks for your FANTASTIC service
