Internet speed extremely slow

I've being trying for few months now to get my billing online and to see what my internet usage is. The reason for this is that my internet speed is VERY slow and every time I phone in they just tell me that I have use my allocated 3Gb of unshaped data.
Previously there were an fully working app on my phone where I accessed detailed info regarding my usage but this app was removed due to unspecified issues!
There is now no way in tracing what you use in data or not other than to phone this callcentre every time and get some outdated info from them! This option of MTN has being discontinued and I've being advised every time that MTN is trying to get the users off this package! My contract only expires end of August this year and I therefore want Nashua (my service provider to sort out the many issues above and provide me with the service I contracted to them and for what I pay for!
