Atrocious service to fix dead Telkom line

My line was faulty on 10 December and dead by the next day. I was unable to get through to the call centre or the website to log the fault until 12 Dec. 18 Dec I called having had NO news as to what was happening to restore the line. I was told it was being escalated and someone would call me back and given (to my utter frustration) a date of 27 Dec to fix the fault. It is now 3 January and the line is still not fixed. In the meantime Telkom have happily charged me the full month's rental - yet I had no service for most of it. I called from a neighbour's phone again today: Kagiso found no record of the first escalation (ref no 565333) - he was trying his best but was utterly useless as he could not tell me more than the technicians are working on the problem. He then escalated the fault (again!!??) with ref no 568586. I then asked him to resolve the billing problem and was put through to that departmt who say the system is off line and I must call at another time. They of course can't say when the system will be up, nor can they call me back. Eventually a supervisor, Sipho came on line, promised to call back and I am still waiting almost an hour later. Totally unacceptable!!!
