On 27/12/2013 I went to MTN Pinetown, and after a 30 minute wait was helped by Fathima. I had a new phone and needed my Sim card to be "cut" or to do a Sim swop. After showing the actual Sim card to Fathima, she told me that they would be unable to cut the card but I could buy a new Sim card and do the Sim swop as I am on contract. On the 28/12/2013 I returned to MTN Pinetown again, with the signed form as requested by Fathima, an MTN "trained" consultant, only to find she was not on duty. Sane Mathe told me that my husband needed to come in with his ID or give me a letter delegating me to swop the Sim. Sane did not request to see the Sim card, the phone or to help me in any other way. I find the level of service, lack of knowledge and unhelpfulness from a "leading service provider" store to be disgusting. What is making the situation even worse for MTN Pinetown, is my husband took the exact same Sim card on the afternoon of the 28/12/2013, to MTN Hillcrest and the Sim card was "cut", put into my new phone and was up and running the same day. How can MTN Hillcrest get it right but MTN Pinetown does not have a clue??!
