Damage phone

My mom got cas a contract with cell c for a blackberry. Contract was taken out 6 months ago. It is a red phone. The red started bracking off after about a month and the phone Automatically switches itself off. Is is very annoying as it does not want to work propally.she did take it back to the store where she got it and the man was very rude and said the phone will not be replaced and may be fixed but he can not do anything about the colour chipping off. My mom has been a costomer for years and has a lot of contracts and is not being treated fairly.
