IPhone 5 Not Repaired

I recently handed my 8month old iPhone 5 in, as there was something wrong with the charging - each time I wanted to charge my phone, I would have to play around with the cable for a while until a certain angle would allow the phone to charge. I then took the phone in to Sandton City Cell C store and tried my best to explain the situation to the lady but it didn't seem that she completely understood. Nonetheless, the phone was sent to the repair centre and I would receive my phone within 21 days.

Today I received a call from Sandton City Cell C to come and collect my phone. Just to make sure I asked if the phone was fixed - and to my sirprise it was not. The lady then had to call the place as it was "Returned, not repaired".

Apparently the Find My iPhone App must be disabled before they can do work on it. Please could someone explain to me why this is necessary? After waiting more than a week for my phone, I now have to go back to the store, disable the App, and send it in AGAIN for repairs, waiting another 21 days.

Please could someone let me know what the problem is - I would just like to get my working phone back.
