I recently took out a contract with Mtn for 2Gb of internet a month at R119 a month. I specifically asked for a contract that would only provided me 2Gb a month and nothing more. The consultant did not tell me that there would additional costs of R461 foe packet switched data calls. What is this? no one can tell me not even Mtn. I then received bills of various amounts R750, R400 etc which amount to over R2500. I budgeted for R119 a month and cannot afford excess payments amounting to R2000. They are now threatening to black list me. But i refuse to pay because they gave me the incorrect account and have not replied to any of my messages or calls regarding this or provided me with answers. I am livid as Mtn has not lifted a finger to help me. I have now taken this to Ombudsman to see if they can help me. I do not recommend Mtn to anyone as they are just after making money no matter what, they have such poor service and lack of efficient communication skills. On an occasion a consultant from Mtn said that this is the way Mtn makes their money. I am beyond livid and feel that Mtn has no regard for their customers. Maybe now Mtn will reply. Mtn is a waste of money and time.
