I have experienced the most shocking and appalling service from MTN, I have been trying to get a hold of the Insurance department with no luck since the beginning of November. Each time I call the number they gave me I end up holding on the line for more than 20 to 30 min and I eventually hang up. I am on my second month now without any insurance on my handset. I logged a complaint on hellopeter last week, a lady called Wenzile Masina from MTN got back to me sometime this week saying some lady would call me. She called while I was in a meeting and left me a voice mail saying I must call the very same number I logged a complaint for so I can insure my device. So I did as I was told I called back but as usual my call went unanswered for close to 27min when the line cut. What makes me angry is the lady called me once didn't try again after a few min, hours or days. Instead her advice was to call the stupid number. What's me off is when I do eventually get a hold of them they going to tell that it's too late you should have insured it within a certain period of time. This is what they call customer service when they want their money at the end of the month.
