Ordering through a Vodacom store a waste?

On the 30th of November 2013 I placed an order with Vodacom for 2 64GB iPhone 5s Golds and was told the phones would be ordered 1st thing Monday morning and I should receive the phones by Wednesday the 4th. The 4th came and I was told I'd get the phones the following Monday. Monday passed no luck and now apparently they had no arrive of when the phones would arrive. Poor stock levels, maybe the case but then how does a friend of mine who applied online with Vodacom nearly a week later than receive his phone a week later today? Surely it should be on a first come first serve basis. This kind of service is not what I expect from Vodacom and it disappoints me deeply and his given me second doubts on renewing our other coming contracts with Vodacom. Its is the 13th of December 2013 and I have yet to receive even one handset. If Vodacom touts themselves as the South Africa's best mobile network, this kinda of service definitely says otherwise!
