Outrageous Penalties and Fees

I was advised by Nashua Mobile to upgrade my existing contract to a higher package which would save me money, I was told that there was no costs to this. I signed for this up-grade in October and stated it would be effective from the 01st December. I called Thokozani on the 01st of December as advised by a consultant of Nashua Mobile to inform him to cancel this migration as I could no longer afford this due to me being retrenched. I was advised that I would have to pay R2512.12 MIGRATION COSTS. I was surprised as I did not as yet used this contract and stated this to him. I asked him to escalate my complaint to his manager on the 01st, 02nd, 3rd, 04th and today and till now no one was called me back to explain where this cost comes from and why must I pay for this. I am not even sure if they put me back on my original contract and probably need to pay for this new contract for this month even though I cannot afford it. I cannot believe that a company like this can give such bad and poor service and bully people into paying for things they did not even use. Can I escalate this to any higher authority to prevent Nashua Mobile from ripping me off? What is the law regarding cancelling
