I have been with Autopage for 12 years, and pay my contract by way of debit order. On 2 December I got an SMS informing me that I owed R287.22 to be paid immediately or my account would be suspended. I checked and saw I never received an account for November by e-mail as has been the norm, so I called Autopage. Due to expiry of my card, debit order had not gone through, no explanation from them why no attempt to contact me, but we rectified this and I authorised an immediate deduction from my account.

Today, 2 days later, another sms. As I had not paid, I now owed another R49, my account was suspended and I had been reported to the credit bureau affecting my credit record. Phoned, was told that payment went thru on 2 Dec, no idea why I got the second sms, maybe "automated". I asked why then report me to credit bureau? I dont know was answer. So I asked to speak to someone who would know, her manager. Put on hold, then phone went dead.

Autopage, this is most unsatisfactory. You fail to send me a bill, then send me an unreasonable demand to pay immediately, which I do, and then you follow up with more threats and extortion. Reverse my adverse credit report and apologise.
