Cell C
ROLLER COASTER SERVICE

Telecommunications

I received a new Samsung S3 Mini in April. During October the sreen was unable to switch off and I took it to the cell C shop in Ilanga Mall where I received the best possible service from Jonathan. He even downloaded photo's from my phone to a CD and I thanked him by taking him Biltong and a fruit juice.

The phone was sent to Repairs on 30 October 2013. Ref # PRE 456038. After hearing nothing from Cell C, I went to the shop on 3 December 2013 only to find out that the phone was returned from the Repairs 2-3 weeks ago. After inserting the sim card, we realised that, apart from the screen not switching off, the two buttons at the bottom were now non-functional as well, resulting in the phone being in worse condition than when I sent it off to repairs.
At Repairs, two stickers were stuck on the phone, "Water Damage" and "Beyond Economical Repairs"
I find it strange as well as an easy way out of a Warrenty by slapping the two stickers on a phone and I, as the Client, just have to accept their verdict. Their action left my six month old phone worthless with eighteen months left on the contract.
I returned the phone to Repairs, but seriously doubt whether it even left the shop..
