Vodacom
Dissapointing Online Contract Application Process

Telecommunications

During the course of the week ending 25 January 2013 I have made an online application for the new 16Gig iPhone 5 contract (R499.00). An operator named Johannes called me on 23 January 2013 and we went through the application process. He confirmed during the telephone conversation that the application was approved and that my handset was to be delivered within 5 working days. I called Vodacom this morning and after being sent from pillar to post (contracts to sales division) and being transfered (by an 0821950 call operator) to an outside company dealing with bridging finance I eventually managed to speak to a consultant who informed me that despite assurances to the contrary my application is in fact still in process. I requested to speak to Johannes who requested his colleague to ask for my contact number as he "will call me back".
I think this is totally unacceptable and would dare say that if I have had not called today I would still be in the dark. I would gather that Vodacom would be keen for business especially since I am one of their clients who has reduced my contracts from 3 to what will be at the end of February zero (if this application is not successfully completed)
