One week ago I visited the Cell C store at Gateway. After porting my trouble free, MTN number to Cell C pre-paid I realised that I was being charged alot more than the 99c/minute according to the aggressive marketing campaign. I also paid R50 for a starter pack, which is usually given away for free. i returned to the store to ask them to rectify this but the staff were adamant that there is nothing that can be done, nor can I get my money refunded. After expressing my dismay at this type of false advertising and non disclosure in order to ring-fence users of other networks into Cell C's dodgey service, a useless consultant told me that the manager will get back and they can't do anything to help. Another consultant ("Noswazi") was helpful and made an effort to rectify tarrif etc. While waiting I was shocked at the number of unhappy customers for various issues at this store. All were told the same- "The manager will get back to you". In the 90 minutes that I was there she was in the back while the store was half full with customer complaints. When leaving I asked for the managers name, details etc but was refused. Management needs to learn accountability and train staff on service.
