My mweb account is currently 'locked/suspended.' I first discovered this issue on 20 November 2013 after I attempted to access the internet. I did purchase a booster on the previous evening. I was surprised at the high usage but was informed on 20 November 2013 that I needed to purchase another booster. Both purchased boosters were for 500 MB and cost R99 each.

After waiting for the second booster to be activated for several hours I called Mweb again only to be told there was an issue with the account and that the issue had been escalated.

I have spoken several times to Marilyn van Reenen who has repeatedly assured me that the matter is being investigated and they are liaising with MTN. I have been verbally informed by her that the usage for my account amounts to R17 000 for a product that is a 2GB per month account with a soft lock at R500 usage.

However, I now have no internet access from the Mweb ISP whom I pay for that access.

I have made repeated telephone calls to Mweb regarding this matter and had to ask for a reference number to be provided on 24 November 2013, 4 days after my initial fault report. Reference from 24/11/2013 is 1289053.
