I had a Virgin Mobile contract in 2009. After constantly complaining about my number not having been ported, and being transferred from one "Technical team" to another, after 9 months I received a call from a technician who finally assisted in getting my number ported from MTN to Virgin. She admitted that it was incompetence from Virgin's side. In that time, I lost, dropped calls and sometimes didnt receive calls at all. Eventually I terminated my contract at the end of the contract period. 3 years later, out of the blue, I received a letter of demand stating that I owe them R200 and that they are handing me over to their debt collectors.? My account was on a debit order - why did they not deduct the final monies due to them at the end of my contract when I terminated?? It seems that the incompetency is not just with the technical department but also with the billing dept. I have NEVER came accross such utter incompetent and bad service in my life! After numerous attempts to try and resolve the situation by speaking to the Select-online debt collectors, there is still no resolution. What next??? I will and have discouraged many people not to make use of Virgin Mobile.
