Poor service

My phone is blocked and, all i need from mtn is a puk no.is that too much to ask!!! my husband phone twice already spending 20min on the phone both times and he received no service, then i sms from a friend phone to retrieve a puk and still i heard nothing!! what am suppose to do in order to receive my puk no? this is pathetic service and i'm not all impressed!!!
