STILL NOT FIXED AFTER REPORTING THROUGH HELLO PETE

There is an ongoing fault on my ADSL line which Telkom is not fixing. I have numerous fault references and Telkom just clears them as "repaired" and then I have to start over again!! Time after time. The technicians have been here more than once and change nothing. The ADSL is slow and unstable, sometimes dropping more than once per minute. The speed on the 2meg line that I am paying for is basically a dial-up speed of less than 100kb/sec, on download or upload (often much less!!).

The excuse that seems to be the most consistent is that I am "far from the exchange". Is this serious? I am in a house that has been here for more than 30 years and serviced by Telkom all that time - All of a sudden I am too far? Is Telkom unable to service Johannesburg and its suburbs which is the biggest city in SA and the economic hub of the country. This process has been extremely costly, in the time that I have to commit to contacting Telkom every day, is enormous!!

Worst, it seems that Telkom is selling products which it cannot provide, knowingly. This is consumer abuse at best and most likely. A beg Telkom to stop my money and provide me with the service that I pay for.
