I went into the Telkom mobile store on Friday the 1/11/2013 to check out their deals.
I spoke to a pleasant Gentleman named Gordon who was the manager. After looking at the brochure
I narrowed my choice to the smartplan 100 with the iphone 5 32 gig. I initially wanted the 16gig iphone but Gordon said they were out of stock, He advised that I take the 32 gig iphone for just R40 more. Before I made a decision I asked if it was billed per second or per minute and he confirmed that it was per second. I replied "are you sure " as the 16 gig iphone deal was per minute. He again said "yes, this deal is per second billing".
My wife was witness to the entire conversation as contract was done in her name
I was happy based on that information I decided to sign the contract with Telkom Mobile.
After a few days i realised that I am being billed per minute so I contact the store and speak to Gordon on the 6th of November at about 16:30 and now he says that he cannot remember speaking to us and tells us that we cannot do anything now as the contract is signed and those are the terms. I said to him that based on the information that he supplied i signed up. Basically he does not want to help.
