EXTREME delay in delivery

On Friday, 18 October 2013 I contacted Virgin Mobile upgrades department to arrange for the upgrade of my cellphone contract. After successfully completing the upgrade process, I was informed that my cellphone would be delivered the following week. I supplied Virgin Mobile with two numbers on which the courier company could contact me to arrange for the delivery of the cellphone.

After not hearing anything from Virgin Mobile or the courier company for a whole week, I have been phoning every day since Friday, 25 October to try and find out what the hold up is with the delivery of my new phone. Each time I have to hold on the line for anything from 20 mins to an hour only to be told that the courier company has the phone and that I would be contacted to arrange delivery.

Once again this morning I contacted Virgin Mobile about the delivery of my new phone and after having to hold on for almost 20 mins, was told that the courier company have NOW ONLY been instructed to deliver the phone and that it would now be delivered next week Tuesday or Wednesday.

This therefore means a lead time of 13 days and not 5-7 days as promised originally.

To me this is totally unacceptable service.
