Can anyone fix my phone

Telecommunications

Hi,

I have a iPhone 5 on a Vodacom Contract which is still under Warranty. The phone unfortunately does not want to charge correctly. It is however not a broken charger as I tried numerous other working chargers to test.

I have contacted the branch I deal with and was advised that my phone will get sent away for approx. 4 weeks. Also, the only loan phone I can have is a Blackberry. Unfortunately due to my job I can't be without my iPhone 5 as I use the camera and the Facebook and Instagram app on a daily basis (Instagram is not available on Backberry). When I said that this was not acceptable, I was asked to chat to a Vodacare branch. Vodacare unfortunately said they can't deal with me as I'm a Nashua Mobile customer.

I visited an iStore and a private workshop (Gmob) and both told me that the issue with my phone could be fixed in approx. 10 mins, Gmob quoted me approx. R1000.

It is really unacceptable that US iStores just swop out faulty phones and here I have to turn to private companies as they are the only realistic options for me.

Is there another option for me or do I need to pay for this myself? (even though the phone is under Warranty)
