Nashua Mobile - faulty blackberry and poor service

I bought a new Blackberry from Nashua Mobile in January which has been faulty soon afterward. I took the phone back in May. They sent it to the repair centre and didn't offer me a loan phone. I now received a message stating that they had a "quote" for me which I would have to pay. I had been on the phone trying to get through to the right person since the morning till 2:15pm being referred from one department to another and when I enquired about the warranty period, they advised that the phone should be under warranty for a year but that the warranty on the phone had expired which is why they were giving me a quote, so my question is how old is the phone that was sold to me? There were only two of the seven staff members I spoke to (1 from the branch and 1 from Head Office) who seemed to have made some attempt to help, and the rest of the staff are unhelpful and just ask me to phone another department. I would never buy another item from this company if this is the kind of after sales service you receive and I refuse to pay for repairs to a phone that is supposed to have been brand new and is supposed to be under warranty.
