Data package upgrade

Dear Cell C
I currently have a 5gig pm for R299. I would like to renew the contract to the 5 15gig for R189. What woukd like to know, on 1st nov the R299 goes off my account and i have my 5 gigs for nov. If i renew my contract on tge first to the 5 15gig, does that mean that i will have 25gigs (5 5 15) for november? Am i wrong to assume so, seeing that end of november i will be charged pro rata for the new package? I have been to 2 different cell c stores (Pavillion, Bluff) and both give me conflicting information, one agreeing with my impression, the other saying that i will loose the 5gigs from my current package (which i am paying for) when i renew.
