Can't cancel contract, service center not working

I've seen that I'm not the only one with this problem, there are multiple people with the same issue... and that's just complaints lodged TODAY on HelloPeter.
I've phoned probably 7 times in the past ten days then either my phone calls are cut off after waiting 5 minutes on the line or the service center staff says their systems are still offline. This is crazy, they only have very limited stores in the Western Cape and I cannot go into the store for every query!
My contract expired thirteen days ago (thank goodness!!!) and I'd like to cancel it, but I cannot get through to cancel it so that I can port my number to Cell C!
Virgin Mobile has really set a new low for NON-service delivery! These people should be put in jail for!
