On Thursday 24 October, I called MTN direct to enquire about upgrading my contracts.
I have three contracts, two voice and a data card.

I spoke to a lady in the call centre (Sales code: 160139), who assisted me with the upgrade and the activation of a fourth contract.

1. The lady in the call centre and I discussed a deal advertised on a Nokia Asha 210 on the Top-up 100 contract. This was confirmed. When reading the contract after delivery, I noticed that a Top-up 50 was ordered.

2. The call centre lady asked me to email copies of my ID and proof of physical address to her for RICA on this line. We are now given a message that the line had been RICA barred.

3. The two upgraded phones came with new sim cards. Wrong cards packaged with incorrect phones, no instructions on how to activate (would assume it would happen automatically)

4. When called 808, told to call 0831233667 and select option 2. Electronic process and selected sim cards to be activated. This has not been done and there is no records.

5. No instructions or guidance from call centre on how to register Samsung S4 on website for guarantees.

6. MTN Direct hours 8am to 5pm, NO ONE to assist after hours.
