My TopUp 135 contract expires at the end of this month. I called in to the Upgrade call centre on Fri 25 Oct and upgraded to a Smart S contract with a Samsung S4 mini phone. All seemed fine, I was told the handset would be delivered this week. I called now to find out the status - phones out of stock!!! Why was I not informed of this on FRIDAY? My new contract kicks in on 1 November and they cannot guarantee I will have my new handset by then. That is unacceptable! I cannot take up their 1gig add free data for 6 months if I go into a vodacom outlet, two of whom actually have stock of the handset I ordered. Furthermore, I have lodged complaints with regards to My Vodacom not working TWICE. First time I was told it was sorted out, it wasn't. Second complaint is still pending with no feedback from Vodacom since. Again, acceptable. I will cancel all dealings with Vodacom should this not be sorted out timeously! This is ridiculous service. Should an item not be in stock then the customer should be notified of this immediately in order to then make an informed decision as to whether to continue with the upgrade or not. Very disappointing Vodacom!
