10 X Normal charge for out of bundle rate

I recently went over my cap on my data bundle, I called the call center to see how much I had gone over and the agent told me 300MB, I called the call center again today to see how much the "300MB" would cost me and spoke to Orlando Rolo and he informed me that the I had gone over and that they were going to bill me R1700. I tried to confirm how much I had gone over and he couldn't understand a simple query. I then spoke to Ashton Ntloko who worked out that I had gone over by 1.7GB. I then queried the amount of data and they said if I couldn't proof I hadn't used that much then there is nothing I can do about it. I asked Ashton to put this in writing which I am still waiting for. I called back again today and spoke to Shallott Hlalele then told me that I had in fact used 2, 4GB over my cap. She did however tell me that the each 5MB component is broken up and billed individually. How can one company give 3 different figures for out of cap usage and how can they bill more than 10 times the normal bundle calculated rate. One could understand a rate of say 3 times, also why are the self imposed usage limits not recognized?
