Account opened with uncertified copy ID

Faziela Woods from Nasua mobile (011 207 8681) called my husband yesterday saying his account is in arrears for 4 months (opened 30 May 2013). I followed up this morning round 08:45 on his behalf and asked if they had a CERTIFIED copy of his ID, payslips & bank statements. She replied yes. I then asked her when the ID was certified - she hesitated then said "no, it looks like it is not"

How was the account opened? Online or walk-in at a store? She replied it was a walk-in, and this so called frauster's named "Tidimalo Ngqulu" used an uncertified ID copy, pay payslips (apparently from Clover) & bank statements, as well as a letter that was apparently written by my husband saying she can even collect the phone on his behalf. Account was opened at a store named "City Deep". In order to clear this, Nasua need a copy of my husband's ID and sworn affidavid that this is a account.

I told Faziela that I want to speak to someone from the risk and department as this doesn't sound right. Marie Coetzee - answered the phone then hung up.

Now this raises questions about Nasua's security checks in handling / opening accounts, and why wait so long to notify the client?
