Impossible to cancel and get the correct invoice

Telkom consistently did not deliver on my request to cancel my internet with them. I called multiple times (waiting half an hour each time to get through to the cancellations dept) requesting the cancellation but this was not complied with despite receiving confirmation on the phone I was not required to do anything further to obtain the desired cancellation. I have been charged for the months I did not want the internet for and charged interest on the invoice amount that has been in dispute. At least 10 phone calls (I have references for most of these) and about 5 hours of my life later this is still not sorted out. Currently another 35 mins (and counting) of my life have gone by while I try get through to Telkom again. I need someone from Telkom to sort this out.
