Airtime taken away -MTN 0834121041

My MTN account was handed over to legal as i could not pay my monthly installments. My line was suspended which i understand. MTN continued to bill me according to my contract and my outstanding balance grew to almost R 8000.I subsequently paid my bill that was outstanding. I was then told that the credit or airtime that was suppose to be carried over for a period of 5 months was no longer available due to being handed to legal. I feel that this is as i have now paid for the airtime and not being given it. I really believe this is unacceptable and should be credited the airtime i have paid for?
