Checking my account last month i realised that Vodacom was billing me over R 4500.00 for data usage alone on my wife's Samsung S3. I immediately contacted Vodacom to query this issue and was advised to check the settings on her phone to confirm if it allowed updates and big downloads to be done on the cell data or only on wifi. I confirmed with the agent that the phone was initially setup correctly and we agreed that this absorbent account was impossible. The agent then advised that he would assist me in logging an official query which we did. On this query it was specified to contact me and not my wife. An SMS was sent through to my wife stating that the query was accepted and a Mr. Elroy would contact us after an investigation was completed. This SMS was sent on the 26-09-2013. To date I was not contacted once by Vodacom. The only call that was received was from a Mr. Julian Mayor, this call was to my wife to inform her that the S3 had a Data counter. For some reason he thought that we were unaware of that. Lastly my wife is currently full time at home where their is permanent Telkom Wifi available through out my home making this bill even more absorbent and ridiculous.
