Vodacom
No 3g coverage

We have a Vodacom 3g data contract which we have hardly used. Unfortunately we have been needing it lately but it has problems. So I phoned vodacom. The chap that helped me was nice and tried to help, until he realized that the entire area around us has 3g except our street. He put in a request for the coverage problem to be seen to. I received a call from the technical division and instead of them trying to resolve the problem for me I received the following options: i could either buy a long extension cable so the modem could sit by the window. If my entire street has no coverage, how would putting the cable by the window help. The second option was for me to buy a booster antenna. We pay vodacom for a data service, they cannot deliver and tell me that I need to buy an antenna for it to work. And our phones? There are 5 contract vodacom phones in our house, none receive 3g either. The antenna only takes one device at a time. If vodacom has 3g in the entire area, surely they can do something to get the signal up in our street. I also have an 8ta connection in my ipad and i receive 3g with that no problem, so is it so difficult for vodacom to get their act together?
