ACCOUNT HANDED OVER TO ATTORNEYS

In January/February 2013 I applied for a contract with MTN, and after 2 weeks I was informed that the contract was denied. 15 october 2013 i received the following sms: "kindly contact Norton Lambrianos Attorneys in respect of your MTN account". I contacted the attorneys and told them that i am not aware of any contract with MTN. I called MTN and asked them to check their records. i was told that no account existed. I went to the store in Carletonville where i applied for the contract in January/February, and asked them to check the records. The same guy that helped me then, helped me again and he confirmed that he remembers me and that the contract was denied back then. I did not sign any documents back then to make me liable for any accounts. i have never received any communication from MTN about an outstanding account or communication as warning of their intention to hand me over to their attorneys. The guy at the MTN store also phoned MTN call centre, and they confirmed that the account does exist. This is totally unacceptable because i never received any communication from mtn, and they are not allowed to hand me over without warning.
