I am on the Smart S contract which includes 200MB of free data. No notification was sent to me informing me that my data bundle was used up in just a few days of use. I am really upset as I have been billed R2771.68 for data use within my first contract month. Why was there no alert or notification that my data bundle was used up? Why was I not prompted with an option to continue or discontinue with data services? I truly believe that Vodacom is misleading consumers with false advertising and is intentionally setting up consumers to pay these huge bills. I am not entertaining this bill as I feel that as a consumer, Vodacom did not fully disclose details of the contractual agreement.
