I went to the MTN store on Saturday, 12 October 2013 at 09H00 to request a Sim swop.

After about an hour of waiting they finally figured out how to do a Sim swop and I was told that it would take approximately 10 to 24 hours to activate.

I paid the Sim swop fee.

Later that day I received a SMS from MTN confirming the Sim swop request.

Today, Monday 14 October 2013 at 08H45, the Sim swop has not taken effect. Almost 48 hours later.

I subsequently contacted the MTN call centre who informed me that the Sim swop has not been done and there is no evidence of this on their system.

They instructed me to go back to the shop.

This is totally unacceptable as I have to now spend my time and money to correct MTN's poor service delivery.

It seems that MTN's customer service is now on par with their reception - non existent.
