My ADSL speed slowed down a lot.
After battling it out with an incompetent support centre some guy named Blane picked up that my line was on 1 meg from Telkom. (This was on Tuesday)
It turned out that when I upgraded my package with Afrihost; nothing to do with Telkom speed.
Some asked Telkom to downgrade my line to 1 meg from 4-10 meg
Blane promised me he would submit a request to put it back and it would take 48 hours.
Just spoken to support (Today is Thursday) and it turned out that Blane never submitted a request..
I am now restarting my fight with Afrihost..
I have emailed Moshe and Gain at Afrihost and left a message for Moshe to phone me back but have had no response from any of them... only some stupid answers that do not address my problem from the support centre.
I submitted a requested a massage that says" help" to them on 30 September, it is now 3 Ocktober and they still have not respond to that sms.
Their lines are very bad as they use IP phones and their system cannot cope so you end up with support not being able to hear you after holding on for a long time. Afrihost rct5@
