Paying for a contract long cancelled

I have lost all patience with 8ta mobile, I took out a cellphone contract which ended in june 2013 and I was shocked to see the money still deducted from my account after the 24 months, in august I called 8ta mobile to sort this out and I was told that I didn't indicate that I didn't want the contract to go on and I told them to cancel the contract which I was told will happen in 20 days, by the end of that month I was still billed for the acvount, which I thought might have been the last since I called during the month but now shocking enough I am still billed for that account and today when I called in I was told the same story that "we will book a call", 8ta mobile is going against the consumer act which says that if a contract is for 24 months then thats how it should be unless the consumer indicates that they want to extend the contract which I didnt, 8ta mobile owes me all the money they have been billing me since my 24 months lapsed, and if this continues I will forward my complain to legal wise, tired of being taken for a ride by service providers
