Worst shaping in SA

I have a 10mb adsl line,

Afrihost tells me that they have a "dynamic" shaping policy. I have requested feedback from their facebook page. But seems to go unheard.

Currently accoring to the syste, (time of writing) i should be shaped @ 12.5% on HTTP and 6.25% on P2P.

It is 20:50 at night and they are shaping their customers.

Furthermore, my max P2P rate is now 50kb/s, instead of 900-1000. This is a 95% shape.

This on a account that on average goes about 150GB per month, where others run far over 500GB at this speeds.

This is completely unacceptable paying more than nearly R1000pm to receive these kinds of speeds.

On HTTP on time of writing I am receiving 500kb/s if Im lucky, from microsoftnvidia websites. If im lucky.

Then when reporting issues to afrihost in the past i am told that my max line speed is only 4mb, which is not the case.

So please afrhost. don't "stabilize" my line as this does nothing. Do not "recreate" my port as this wont help.

All that you can do is let off the breaks to those that don't misuse
