I have cancelled my contract and advised cellc that I would like to keep my number. For some reason their back office has cancelled it completely (date: 30/08/2013). I contacted the call centre agent Devan to confirm once the cancellation has been done I would still have my number. He confirmed and assured I will still have it. I called the call centre again as my number was still NOT ACTIVE, I was then advised they unable to pick it up on the system. Then advised that my number can be ported, all I need to do is buy a sim card and they would be able to port it. I then contacted the Retention department and spoke to Candice, and advised she is escalating it, nothing was done. Once again I called back, requesting to speak to the manager and was referred to Gareth. Who advised he would investigate and contact me back. NO SURPRISE I have not been contacted. I called again, requesting to speak to his manager, and was advised no one is available. I spoke to Kriyaan, explained my query and he stated he will definitely sort this matter out and when I threatened to complain, he stated I should go ahead. I was left without a contact number, due to cell c's incompetency and lack of ability to resolve a query
