My house was robbed and I had over R200k items including vehicles. The police came to file all the reports but didn't specify the smaller items due to the quantity. They advised me to specify these to insurance and what not. In the process my 3G modem with Afrihost sim card was. I contact Afrihost Live Support to just cancel the simcard and inform how to get a new one.

I then get informed by Chris that I have to go and file a complete police report including the sim card before they will do anything. The case number is apparently not sufficient. What is more, I have to give them copies of all the complete police reports?? ARE YOU CRAZY!!!??? When a Vodacom sim card of mine was on a previous occasion, they were able to block it with just the case number.

How useless. So I took the easier route and just cancelled my mobile data account. Afrihost now says it will only be cancelled at the end of October. I therefore state, on here and for the record. If any illegal activities occur on that card before the end of October when the cancellation goes through, I will hold Afrihost legally responsible!!!
