I have been corresponding with Virgin since May 2013 in an attempt to downgrade my contract in an attempt to lower my monthly expenditures. Virgin refused to do so because I am under debt review, I brought it under their attention that they however previously upgraded my account and extended the monthly talk time limit whilst I was under debt review. After huge struggle and numerous frustrating call centre conversations I ported my number to Cell C and cancelled my Virgin contract. Since June Virgin continued to request the monthly subscription by using unorthodox methods to avoid the bank to stop debit orders by changing the transaction dates, amounts and sometimes dividing the subscription fee in half and do two debit requests. I am still in constant correspondence with Virgin Champs as they are referred to, still requested to go from port to starboard between all the various departments but to no avail. I have all the emails to prove my case but just feel so helpless as the bank cannot really do anything about the tactics that Virgin is applying and Virgin seems to be smiling all the way to the bank as they clearly do not want to resolve this matter.
