I have been following the recent flood of throttling and AUP enforcements with interest. Two comments come to mid:
1. HelloPeter should consider removing MWEB as a "company who responds". They don't. The default response is an insult to everybody's intelligence. It says everything: "We don't care", "Sorry, but tough", "Good riddance", "We will when we feel like it" etc
2. It seems clear that MWEB has decided to "clean house" and get rid of everybody who uses "too much" of whatever their secret number is. That may be a good thing, considering that many people admit to HD streaming and 24/7 torrent downloads. The point is, don't string people along - ban them straight-out, but be transparent and open about it.
3. I have been with MWEB since their beginning and have never been throttled or banned or reprimanded. I have been on 4Mb since it started and became an uncapped customer in the first few hours of the announcement. However, their attitude and arrogant approach has left a bad taste that had become my motivation to move on. (as soon as my annual subscription - yes, annual) expires in a few months.
I know they won't miss me - I am but a small insignificant drop.
