Bad service, poor attitude, still waiting for info

Recently I had some problems with my Blackberry Curve, under contract with Vodacom. I took the phone in and the consultant indicated that it needed to go in for repairs. It would be returned to me within 14 days after assessment.

On Friday 13 September I thought I'd pop in to check if the phone had arrived, as I had not heard from Vodacom as yet, it had been more than 14 days since handing the phone in. On arrival, a Hillary served me. He went into the backroom and brought my phone to me in a plastic bag. He produced a piece of paper, which indicated that the phone had liquid damage, and that it was "beyond economic repair". I asked him what recourse I had, as to my knowledge I was not aware of any water damage, and he indicated that my warranty fell away due to the above faults. The manager came out and spoke calmly to me and stated that I he would request the photos/images/reports backing up the status of my phone and email it to me. He promised those reports on the same day, being 13 September.

Today I still have no phone or info, and I am really unhappy with poor service. Seriously considering porting to MTN, if this is what I must expect as a loyal Vodacom customer!
